A Catch-Up Following Our Celebration Sharing Social London Event
Last month we had the pleasure of hosting our first ever Sharing Social London evening event to celebrate the success of meet-up so far!
Located in WeWork, Wilson Street, the room was filled with Sharing Social London members old and new. Base Creative and Rogue Ponies partnered up together for this event and worked hard with the venue to ensure there was a lively atmosphere
We kicked off the evening by welcoming some of our previous speakers, William Bonaddio, Jesus Agudo, and Clarice Lin, up on stage to each give share their views on the current state of influencer marketing.
To shake things up, during the interval we set everyone with the task of finding out who the most influential person in the room was that night. After much discussion, and a quick peek at everyone’s Twitter account, we had our final three, Mike McGrail, Jesus Agudo, and Jake Gallagher. Jake was crowned the winner and official Sharing Social London influencer with over 18,000 Twitter followers, and given a bottle of bubbly to celebrate – congrats!
To finish off the evening, it was time to settle down for Mike McGrail’s keynote talk: Are we facing peak influencer? The question is, do you think we are? With both Twitter and Instagram going crazy with comments (take a look over on our Instagram highlights to see some of the best bits), it was time to end the show. The Sharing Social crew & members headed off to a nearby pub to continue the celebration.
Here are some highlights from the night:
We’d like to say a few thank yous;
Thank you to Rogue Ponies and WeWork for being our partners during this event, without you both this wouldn’t have been possible!
Thank you to all of our helpers & team on the night. The whole evening ran smoothly thanks to the help of our Sharing Social Founding Members and helpers. We couldn’t have pulled it off without you.
Our next meet-ups are going to be following our usual brunch-time formula. Join us for a coffee and a quick bite along with a chance to catch up with the community.
