Spudulike were looking to reinvigorate their brand ahead of their forthcoming 40th anniversary and to reposition themselves in light of a changing competitive landscape.
Through the use of sepia, brown and natural tones we communicated the earthy nature of the product. We further explored this through the use of vintage photography of potato pickers and rustic hessian sacks overflowing with potatoes.
Through copywriting and textual puns we emphasised the health aspects of the baked potato. A ‘strongman contest’ between burger and spuds drew out the overwhelming goodness of a potato.
The brand is currently being rolled out to all their restaurants across the country.
“Working with Base Creative is the closest we could get to having an in-house design team without the cost burden.
Your design has a timeless quality which appears simultaneously innovative and established. Your response has exceeded our expectations, thank you.”
